Change is the only constant in life. Some changes just happen, but there other changes that we decide to make. Some changes may have a minimum effect, but other changes can determine your future.
Today two important events are taking place in my life, and I am here to share them with you.
Welcoming a new chapter of my life
I have known for a very long time, that I want to devote part of my time to the improvement of formal education. Three years ago, I confirmed that technology was a key factor that needed to be taken into account.
In order to achieve this goal, I have been working at Universitat Pompeu Fabra as a researcher in the Research Group on Interactive & Distributed Technologies for Education during the last three years. I have been working for the promotion of Digital Literacy and the Maker Education among students and educators to develop the 21st-century digital skills among primary and secondary education students.
Nevertheless, in order to continue improving as a researcher, I decided I wanted to make a change in my career. This is why (and here is where the big news come) today I have started working at the Pädagogische Hochschule Zürich pursuing a Doctorate on Education in the Research Group on Education and Digital Transformation.
Due to the COVID-19 situation, I find myself quarantining working from home as the procedure requires for those persons coming from other countries (among them, Spain). Nevertheless, I am excited to be starting my Doctorate even from a moderate-sized room in an Airbnb apartment in Zurich!
I believe this new position will be a key factor for achieving my goal of becoming a better researcher and professional in the field of education to be able to successfully contribute to its continuous improvement.

And continuing with great news, I also want to use this post to welcome my first and unique personal website! (I am sorry some sections are still under construction, I will do my best to have it ready ASAP! )
Being this my first post, I have endeavoured to use this website to share information about myself, as well as to share with everyone who is interested, several topics related to education, technology and digitalization.
